Today, I have the honor of guest posting over at The Church of No People for Matt Appling. I first connected with Matt via Twitter and had the chance to meet him in real life when I happened to catch a well-timed Instagram photo of the Seattle skyline where I work.
Matt blogs about raw, real life stuff that doesn?t usually make it into sermons on Sunday mornings. His perspectives are fresh, if not controversial, but his voice and motives are sincere. The Church of No People resonates with me and challenges me to think differently.
I hope you will check it out and join in the conversation.
Here is an excerpt of my post on Christians and alcohol:
Hi. My name is KC and I?m an alcoholic.
And I?m a Christian.
And I drank one beer with dinner last night.
And I?m still going to Heaven.
To be more accurate I?m prone to alcoholism. I have a family background in depression, ADD, substance abuse and have a tendency toward obsessive/impulsive behavior. Based on my family history (and what I understand of biology) my brain has a chemical imbalance that causes me to be inclined to drink too much.
But I don?t. Why?

What?s your take on alcohol? Should Christians drink at all? If you had a beer with Jesus what would you order?
If you?re visiting from Matt?s blog, Welcome! Thank you for stopping by!
